The American television serial drama Lost is the brainchild of the head of then head of ABC Lloyd Braun. Braun wanted a show that was a blend of several plots including those from the ‘Lord of the Flies’, the movie ‘Cast Away’, a popular video game known as ‘Myst’ and the television shows ‘Gilligan’s Island’ and ‘Survivor’.
